About LCW

Liebert Cassidy Whitmore is California’s premier labor, education, and employment law firm. We provide training, education, and legal representation to hundreds of public agencies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations across the state of California.

Our Firm

In 1980, six experienced attorneys, dedicated to employment law and labor relations, founded Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. In the years since, LCW has grown to become California’s leading management-side labor, education, and employment law firm.

Specializing in one of the most dynamically evolving areas of law, we understand that localization is key. That is why we built our practice with a commitment to serving the unique needs and requirements of California’s public sector. In five offices across the State, LCW’s growing team of attorneys concentrate on every aspect of labor, education, and employment law, and are consistently at the forefront of this ever-expanding field.

At Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, our services reach beyond the realm of representation. We are pioneers in the preventative education space; providing extensive training and support to help our clients institutionalize best practices and comply with the law in more practical and meaningful ways.

Over the years, Liebert Cassidy Whitmore has been recognized numerous times for our community involvement, legal achievements and our commitment to cultivating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We are proud to consistently place in the top five of Law360’s annual Best Law Firms for Women and Minority Attorneys list.
Leaders in
Client Education
At Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, we believe that effective representation does not begin and end in the courtroom or at the negotiating table. We pride ourselves on supplying our clients with the foremost tools and training to mitigate the risk of adversary proceedings from the start. Through the creation of Employment Relations Consortiums, LCW has revolutionized the training and development field; providing ongoing support to more than 800 of California’s public agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations through workshops, events, monthly newsletters, and our online catalog of extensive training materials.
