Aleena Hashmi is an Associate Attorney in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. Aleena is a skilled trial attorney who provides representation and counsel to clients in all litigation matters.

Prior to joining LCW, Aleena was a Staff Attorney at Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers where she conducted over 100 bench trials and hearings in addition to providing court representation and defense to parents involved in the child welfare system. Aleena also gained legal expertise through her work at the Office of the Attorney General and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she conducted preliminary hearings, jury trials, and authored appellate briefs.

Aleena graduated from The University of San Diego School of Law where she was a member of the Criminal Law Society and participated in Trial Advocacy. As an undergraduate, Aleena attended the University of Iowa where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication, a minor in French, and worked as a Resident Assistant for three years.
