Hadara is an experienced litigator having served as a Deputy Attorney General in the California Attorney General’s Office for more than 15 years before joining LCW’s San Francisco office. In that capacity, Hadara represented agencies in litigation in both state and federal court. Her oral and written advocacy skills in the California Courts of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals resulted in a number of published decisions including: Anderson v. Ghaly (9th Cir. 2019) 930 F.3d 1066; Sierra Medical Services Alliance v. Kent (9th Cir. 2018) 883 F.3d 1216; Skidgel v. Cal. Unemployment Insurance Appeals Bd. (2018) 24 Cal.App.5th 574, affd. (2021) 12 Cal. 5th 1; and Herting v. Cal. Dept. of Health Care Services (2015) 235 Cal.App.4th 607.
Hadara’s practice has included advising and representing clients in challenges to state statutes and policies in areas of education and health care, unemployment insurance, and section 1983 claims.
In addition to her litigation work, Hadara has served on numerous nonprofit Board of Directors, holding key leadership positions. These organizations benefited from her time and her talents in the areas of advice, analysis and strategic direction. Hadara is passionate about helping nonprofit organizations, including private schools, with issues surrounding governance
Prior to joining LCW and her Deputy Attorney General role, Hadara was a litigation associate at a California based firm. Before law school, Hadara volunteered for a year overseas with a non-profit organization.
